Education
- BA Chemistry, University of New Orleans
Professional Experience:
- Began career in the oil and gas industry in New Orleans, building a foundation in analytical testing and quality assurance.
- Transitioned into the environmental field, gaining extensive experience working within an EPA Contract Laboratory Program facility.
- Relocated to Memphis in 1999 to join an agricultural laboratory, where efforts focused on developing and broadening its capabilities in both environmental and agricultural analysis.
- Founded Cornerstone Laboratories in 2001 with a mission to provide dependable analytical testing services to a diverse range of industries.
- Brings expertise in method development and advanced analytical techniques, including GC, GC/MS, ICP, and HPLC.
Outside Interests:
Enjoys playing tennis and spending time with his wife and granddaughter on the family’s homestead in Mississippi.
Gabe LaBonia, Vice President
Education
- PhD Analytical Chemistry, University of Notre Dame
- BS Forensic Chemistry, University of Mississippi (Ole Miss)
Professional Experience:
- Completed an undergraduate degree and training in Forensic Chemistry, emphasizing advanced instrumentation and chemical analysis techniques
- Earned a Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry with research emphasizing innovative method development and analytical problem solving.
- Served as an Associate Partner at McKinsey & Company’s Chicago and St. Louis offices, bringing over 6 years of experience advising Fortune 500 clients on operational improvement and strategic initiatives.
- Joined his father, Sam, at Cornerstone Laboratories in 2025 to help advance the company’s commitment to best-in-class analytical testing and customer service.
Outside Interests:
Enjoys family time outdoors with his wife and daughter, playing tennis and running, and cheering on the Notre Dame Fighting Irish and Ole Miss Rebels.
